It's not that supermarkets are too expensive; it's just that buying fresh meat from a butcher and fruits and veggies from an open-air market known as a "Laiki" is part of the Greek culture. It's an amazing experience and one of the best ways to support local businesses!

Suppose you love meat or fish. This is the place for you. They sell fresh fish and meat. Bring cash. You can pay with a card, but they do prefer cash. It is one of the biggest meat and fish markets in Monastiraki.
If you are done at the market. You should check out the herb stores. If you love to cook then you should get her your herbs here. It is very affordable.
